Rock Climbing & Abseiling Jindabyne

Located beside the dam wall in Lake Jindabyne, Jindy Rock offers an exhilarating climbing and abseiling experience for everyone. Its a versatile crag that is perfect for kids, families and group outings. Once you've had your fill of vertical adventures, cool off with a refreshing dip in the lake or head to a nearby cafe or bistro. This is a great half-day activity for the whole gang.

WHAT TO BRING

GRADE 1: BEGINNER

Half Day Tour

1. Meet your guide at the Jindabyne Dam Wall carpark.
Receive all necessary climbing gear and equipment from K7 Adventures.
2. Embark on a 5-10 minute walk from the car park to the climbing location.
3. Begin with a warm welcome and introduction to the local Indigenous culture, acknowledging the country you're in.
Receive an informative safety briefing from your guide, including the proper use of climbing equipment, safety protocols, and communication signals.
4. Your guide will lead you through three exhilarating climbs, each offering different challenges and experiences.
you'll also have the opportunity to descend via two thrilling abseils.
Your guide will provide tips, encouragement, and support throughout these activities.
6. Reflection and Closing
Share experiences, accomplishments, and memorable moments with your fellow climbers.
7. Return to Carpark (10 minutes):
Embark on a short, scenic walk back to the Jindabyne Dam Wall carpark.
Return all climbing gear and equipment to your guide.
Please note that the actual duration of climbing and abseiling may vary depending on the group's pace and the level of experience. Safety remains a top priority throughout the tour.
This tour welcomes participants of all experience levels, including beginners to advanced climbers, making it ideal for friends, families, school groups, and corporate teams seeking an inclusive adventure.

The rock faces the afternoon sun so in the Summer is best in the morning and in the Winter best left until the afternoon.
